Russell Viper spotted, Caught and was got rid of it in dense forest..

Yesterday evening, Rakesh a resident of sector-11 spotted a Russell-Viper while he was spending some time at his garden. He suddenly heard a hiss made by a snake which caught his attention. Being a animal lover within a fraction of seconds he was able to identify the snake specie.

The reason behind this post is to spread awareness among our citizen, as in recent history we have noticed several cases of Russel Viper spotting in our city. We would like to let you know that this is India’s deadliest snake accounting for thousands of deaths each year. It is fast and vicious, can strike its victim who is five feet away within seconds; People believe this specie whose origin is said to be Australia, has traveled through sea vessels carrying coke for industries like SAIL. From where they again travel miles through railway wagons along with coke used in steel plants like Bokaro. Which has finally resulted to frequent spotting of Russel Vipers in the city and nearby areas.

Rakesh, while talking to us stated, people who are not well informed about capabilities of this snake generally mishandle it. Which results to mishap! The snake initially warns by a audible enough hiss by widely opening it's fangs, and takes an aggressive position in S shape. In such cases immediately move far away from its reach. In this case Rakesh was somehow able to capture it in a jar, and later released it in dense forest outside city.
